Grassi Reinvents Community Service During COVID-19 Quarantine
New York, NY – May 4, 2020 – With professional and social gatherings prohibited due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many corporate philanthropy and employee charitable initiatives are also forced on hold. Grassi, a leading provider of business advisory, accounting and tax services, has been finding ways to uphold its commitment to the community despite its own workforce operating primarily in quarantine.
Most recently, executives and employees from across the firm volunteered for Grassi’s Small Business Support Saturday on May 2, 2020. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Grassi advisors specializing in emergency loans, tax, business consulting, HR, IT and Marketing made themselves available in virtual meeting rooms to answer questions and concerns from the business and nonprofit communities.
During this eight-hour period, Grassi advisors spoke with more than 350 small business owners and nonprofit leaders and provided them with one of the most needed donations during a crisis – professional advice and guidance.
“When the mission of your firm is driven by helping businesses succeed, not even a global pandemic can keep you from pursuing that goal,” said Louis C. Grassi, CEO and Managing Partner. “Many of the people we spoke with on Saturday were trying to navigate emergency loans, workforce issues and cash flow challenges without any assistance, and these are decisions no business owner should have to face alone.”
Recognizing that small business owners do not have the same access to resources as their counterparts at larger organizations, Grassi has been making it a priority to support them since the outbreak of COVID-19. The firm has offered a steady stream of complimentary content and webinars, as well as a 24-hour Crisis Response & Recovery hotline that connects business owners and individuals to skilled professionals who specialize in their specific area of concern.
