Prepare for PRF Period 3 Reporting and Annual Single Audits

Healthcare providers who received $10,000 or more of Provider Relief Fund (PRF) payments during Period 3 (January 1 to June 30, 2021) can now begin meeting their Reporting Period 3 (RP3) requirements.

HRSA opened the PRF Reporting Portal for RP3 this month, and providers who are required to report must submit their documentation by September 30, 2022. Any Period 3 funds that could not be expended on allowable expenses or lost revenue due to the coronavirus will need to be returned within 30 days of this deadline.

Keep in mind that a single audit may also be required if any PRF payments put your organization above $750,000 of federal financial assistance received during its fiscal year. Under deadline extensions issued by the OMB last year, single audits for fiscal years ended June 30, 2021 are also due on September 30, 2022.
