The New York State Department of Health (NYDOH) has issued a Request for Applications for the Statewide Healthcare Facilities Transformation Program III. With more than $208 million of funds available, this grant program offers capital for mergers, program development and expansion that will help provider organizations improve viability and meet the needs of the community.
The following types of provider organizations in New York State are eligible to apply:
- General hospitals
- Hospitals designated as Regional Perinatal Centers
- Residential healthcare facilities
- Adult care facilities
- Assisted living programs
- Children’s residential treatment facilities
- Community-based healthcare providers
Grant dollars can be used to fund capital projects, debt restructuring, and startup expenses. The funds cannot be used to cover day-to-day operating expenses.
Applicants will be required to submit a “robust description” of the eligible project and justification for all expenditures included in the project budget. Separate applications must be submitted for each non-capital project.
Applications must be submitted through the Grants Gateway no later than January 12, 2022, but applicants are strongly encouraged to apply as soon as possible. If your organization is not registered with the Grants Gateway, you must first complete and submit a notarized copy of the Grants Gateway registration form.
Not-for-profit applicants are required to prequalify prior to grant application. More information on the prequalification process can be found on the New York State Grant Management website.
