After opening the Provider Relief Fund (PRF) reporting portal for registration only last week, HHS announced that the deadline for reporting PRF relief will be later than previously stated.
Originally scheduled for February 15, 2021, the first quarterly deadline will be delayed to allow time for HHS to update the reporting parameters in accordance with the new Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, which added another $3 billion in funding to the PRF program.
While HHS has not yet provided the new deadline, there are key steps you should take in the meantime if your organization received more than $10,000 in PRF payments:
Register Now
HHS and Grassi strongly encourage all affected PRF recipients to register on the reporting portal as soon as possible, despite the deadline extension. This process will ensure you are on the email list to receive updates from HHS when it is your time to proceed with reporting PRF payments.
Plan for Compliance
If you have not already, it is essential to carefully document how PRF funds were allocated on eligible expenses and compile all required data, including eligible lost revenues and expenses attributable to coronavirus; other federal, state and local assistance and insurance payments received in 2020; and non-financial information on employees, patients and facilities.
